Monday was payday. Well, technically Sunday was, but since the bank isn't open, we have to wait until Monday. We got up about 8 and did some shopping and other errands. We got done before noon! But then, Jon had a few projects he wanted to take care of, so we spent the majority of the day running around to other various stores to pick up some more stuff for his projects. I did finally get a car key! yay!!! I'd been having to use Jon's keys for almost two years whenever I needed the car. It was really inconvenient. Especially if he took his bike to work and the car keys with him. I'm so happy about having my own now!! haha. We ended up getting a $5 pizza for dinner because we were too tired to cook anything.
Tuesday Jon opened. He forgot his phone, but when the occasional times he does that, he calls me from on his break from work. It still makes me smile ridiculously when he calls me just to talk. I don't think that will ever go away. The girls and I did a half assed job of cleaning the house. I was exhausted, so Silas and I took a nap, while the girls watched a show. Jon got home a while later, and he prepped the smoker for the pork roast. He went to workout and he fixed up the tires on a bike I got from a friend. He called me out there and told me to ride it around. After we got it all adjusted, I rode over to Maddie's school with her to check it out. She was so happy! I came back and Kira had learned to stop on her bike while we were gone. So she got to ride with Maddie down to the corner of the street finally! Silas was in his walker in the garage and Jon cleaned out a ton of lint that was in one of the wheels preventing it from moving well, so he was flying around the garage after that. We were definitely a mobile family. haha
Wednesday wasn't anything too special. Jon worked, I cleaned, the kids played. haha. I made 4 cheese Mac n Cheese for dinner and we watched The Neverending Story II.
Thursday Jon worked out, so everyone played outside for a while. I took Kira and Maddie on a mini bike ride. We went across this little bridge by our house and back. Silas walked around in his walker. Jon had to work at 2, so after he left I made some lunch for the girls and myself. Maddie has had a booster seat for a while now, but I got it for her way to early. While it was waiting to be used, the bottom padding was lost somehow, so she always burns herself on the black plastic when she's in shorts or a skirt. Anyway, I found the exact same booster on Craigslist for $10, with all the padding! I got it for her and swapped it out. Now she is a much happier girl when it comes to going places. lol.
Friday Jon had his mid, so he was gone all day. I took the kids out to the Deer Flat Wildlife Refuge for a little nature walk. They weren't as into it as I thought they would be, so after about a mile, we loaded up and came home. I watched a few documentaries and then let Maddie and Kira take turns playing Skyrim. Jon came home and I made sauteed zucchini, carrots and onions with a potato casserole and Jon grilled up some T-bones. We settled down and watched the Expendables 3.
Saturday, we got up bright and early and went to the Karcher Outdoor Market and got some $0.25 clothes! We got Starbucks, of course, and I stupidly asked Kira to hold it for a minute while I grabbed something and she dropped it. I only had about 2 sips out of it. I was SO mad. After that, we headed over to the local Farmers Market. We got some more of that amazing BBQ sauce and jelly that tastes like it's made by the Gods themselves! haha. Jon picked up some more spices and we got some tamales. We grabbed some lunch/breakfast and ate. I got another coffee (this time holding it myself). We came home and Jon worked out before heading out to work. I made some BBQ chicken in the oven for dinner and waited for my love to get home. I finally got a baby monitor, so Silas got to sleep in his crib for this first time by himself overnight.
Sunday, Silas woke me up at 3am. Then again at 6. Hopefully, it's not like that every night. I was exhausted. Jon did the yard. We went to the store for some chain and some clasps, then grabbed some hoagies for some of Jon's famous slop sandwiches. Jon watched some UFC while we ate. He played some video game beta thing then when that was done, he played Skyrim. The girls played outside pretty much all day, so I turned on the sprinklers for them to cool them down. A while later, they were cold, so I wrangled them in and made them dinner. Jon and I still weren't hungry after the sandwiches, but they had burned off theirs by running around for hours straight. haha
