August 18-24

Monday was Maddie's very first day of school ever. It was only for an hour, but she was really excited. I walked her there. She found her cubby on her own and her little mailbox. We made a glitter name tag for her. She was really excited. We took a tour of the school and almost every question the teacher asked, Maddie was the first to answer. The teacher let them play on the equipment, and when she blew her whistle, Maddie was the first to run back and get into line. I was so proud.

She graduates exactly 20 years after I did!

Maddie on the way out to school!
Jon came and picked us up from school after he took Silas to his doctor's appointment. His appointment was at the same time as Maddie had to be at school. We went to Albertsons and got his cake then we drove to Boise and picked up a prize I won from ThisIsBoise.com Giveaways. It was cool. I bought him lunch and we came home. He was a little "under the weather" from the night before though, so he didn't really want to do much other than watch his fights. Kira ended up being sick though. She threw up in the car. I felt bad. She just laid down in her room the majority of the day. We ended up going to Walmart to get Jon a present. He picked a griddle. It took forever to get out of there, but it was pretty fun just hanging out, even if it was in a long line. We were going to order a pizza, but by the time we got home, Chicago Connection was closed. So Jon's second choice was Taco Bell. We ate and watched Captain America II. I fell asleep during it. I guess three nights of staying up past my bedtime caught up with me. lol

Tuesday morning I woke up to take care of Silas. Jon came down a few minutes later. Jon watched some of the newer TMNT. He wasn't a fan of it. He likes the old school stuff. haha. He messed with the security lights because they are all kinds of messed up. I attempted to teach Maddie how to ride without training wheels. She did pretty good, but I could tell she was getting tired and I didn't want to push her. When we came in, Jon was just finishing up making burgers for us. He is really trying to replicate In N Out's burgers and he almost has it down. I feel like we did more for the rest of the day but I can't think of anything. Maddie had her dinner early so she could go to bed early for school the next day. Silas followed soon after. The rest of us stayed up for ribs, mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli.

Wednesday was Maddie's first full day at school. I walked her to her school and watched her get her breakfast. She did good. I followed her out to the playground. I actually lost her for a while because of the sea of kids. But when the bell rang she came right over to the line where she was supposed to. She went inside the school with her class, and I left. It was hard, but I was proud!
Walking to school
While Maddie was at school, we did a few errands. Jon rode his bike to Star to trade games with a guy. Then we grabbed his check and took it to the bank. He wanted to run by the liquor store to get some stuff to put in his flask for the fair. (He hates paying so much for beer.) We came home and I paid bills. I took Kira to Maddie's bus stop to wait for her. Jon and Silas came out about two minutes later. A random dog found us while we were waiting. Maddie got off the bus and she looked so happy! She had a great day at school. I called the dog's owners and held it for her until she could get it. Then we headed off to the fair!

We had a blast at the fair. We got the girls wristbands this year so they could go on whatever they were tall enough to as many times as they wanted. They had a so much fun. Maddie was tall enough to go on some of the big rides. She and I went down the log boat and then she went on the big swings by herself. She had so much fun. Jon and I went on a few rides with the girls, but mostly it was all about them. We ate some food and drank a few drinks then called it a night at about 11. I don't think we've ever stayed so late at the fair!

Thursday, Silas woke up about 8:30. He chased the cats around the living room for a while. Jon got up and I got us some Starbucks. When I got back, Jon was already playing his new (to him) video game. After a few hours of that, we went shopping. He worked out and I went for a bike ride. We tried to teach Maddie how to ride without training wheels some more, but it is ridiculous trying to teach her. We were planning on making some chicken but our neighbor came over for a good hour, so we ended up getting the pizza that Jon wanted for his birthday for dinner instead.

Friday, Maddie had school again. She is on a block schedule so she has full days every other day. She didn't want me to walk her to school, so I let her take the bus. We did some more errands, and I met Maddie at her bus stop. I had to work that night, so I left about ten minutes after she got home. I rode my bike to work because it was a really nice day. On Fridays, we close an hour later, and the other guy closing didn't want me to ride home that late, so I told him he could take me home if he hung out for a bit and had a beer with Jon. He thought that was a pretty good deal. lol. Jon and I didn't go to bed until pretty late that night!

Saturday Jon did the yard and made a dog run. I went to work. It was a pretty boring day. Maddie was sick too. It bums me out not being able to stay home and take care of her. By the time I got off work, they were all in bed. Jon was hungry, so I went to get Jack for him. After I ordered, I realized I didn't grab my new card and my old one expired. So I had to come home. Jon went back this time. He got home and they gave him the wrong thing. He went back AGAIN and they tried to give him another wrong thing. He caught it though and said something, then they made him wait for 10 minutes in the parking lot while they made it. He was NOT happy.

Sunday, Jon had to go back to work. I had to work later that night. I let Maddie play some Skyrim after she did her homework. Kira said she was sick, but I think she just wanted soup. She took a nap, and woke up definitely sick. I felt bad. Jon came home and I had to go to work. I got off at 9, but I was behind, so I didn't get home until 9:40ish. Jon was smoking a chicken on his BBQ, but it wasn't done. It ended up taking until 11:30 to get done! But it was delicious and worth it! haha. We headed upstairs and that was the end of that week. haha

August 11-17

Monday, I woke up to an incredibly empty and quiet house. Jon had to open, and I was left to my own vices without the kids. My parents were bringing them back around 6, but I worked at 5, so I was lonely all day until Jon got home. I got off work an hour early, so the girls were still awake when I got home. They were happy to be home. Maddie showed me the hole in her mouth from where her tooth used to be. Silas heard me and started laughing and smiling a lot. It was nice to be welcomed like that. haha

Tuesday, Silas did not sleep very well. I had to go downstairs twice in the middle night. He woke up about 8 too. Kira was awake when I came down. Maddie woke up soon after. She was excited that the "Tooth Fairy" left her money. She knows there is no tooth fairy, but she wants to play along, so I caved in.

Wednesday it was gross. There were thunderstorms and it was dark and muggy outside. Jon opened, and I closed, so we didn't see much of each other. He worked out after I left and had dinner ready for me when I got home. It was nice to have a meal waiting for me.

Thursday, Jon closed, but I had the day off. Maddie's Open House for her school was that evening at 5, so I had some time to spare before I had to do much. I had Jon clean out the vacuum for me. It works amazingly now! I ended up shampooing the carpets too, although our carpet is so old and literally worn out that you can't tell. I took the kids to Maddie's school. We met her teacher. I also met her music teacher and her PE teacher who happens to be very attractive! haha! I didn't really get a chance to meet him because all the moms were flocked around him, but I definitely admired from a distance. lol. We ate some hot dogs in her cafeteria and I showed her the library. She was SO excited about the library. I love that she is a book nerd. I came home and the girls played for a bit. I put them and Silas to bed. Since Jon has been making me dinners after I close, I did the same for him!

Friday, I got my first paycheck from work. Jon had his long day at work, but he text me when the checks got there. I shampooed the carpets again before going out and depositing the check then running over to WalMart. A co-worker of ours is having his first baby boy so I wanted to get him a few things. I dropped them back off work and came home. I shampooed the girls' room and sent them outside to play. I watched some Veronica Mars. I used to love that show when it was on. My inner 90's girl freaked out when I saw Jonathan Taylor Thomas was on an episode. haha. I made some dinner for Jon and we ate. Jon usually has inventory in the mornings, but because his vacation started the following day, he went back in late that night. I made brownies and watched a few more of my episodes. Our coworker came over after and we hung out for a few hours.

Saturday was the start of Jon's vacation. I had to work at 5, but before I went to work we ran a few errands to get ready for Jon's party the following day. We ran around then got Jimmy Johns. Jon loves that place. haha. I rode my bike to work and closed. Jon got pizza for dinner and saved some for me when I got home. I got a new bike seat so it was a lot more comfy.

Sunday we had a little get together for Jon's birthday. It was kind of a halfsies because one of the guys from work is going to school in Moscow, so it was a goodbye party for him too. It was a lot of fun. Two guys brought jungle juice, two more brought some beer, we provided food. One of the guys brought his daughter, so the girls had someone to play with too. It was pretty fun.

August 4-10

Monday, Silas woke up bright and early. Despite my best efforts to get him back to sleep, he just wanted to play. Kira woke up shortly after, followed by Jon. Maddie almost always sleeps in. We didn't do hardly anything for the rest of the day other than drop a check off at a bank, take a ride to Maddie's school to look for information, and make dinner. It was a lazy day.

Tuesday, Jon left for work and his damn motorcycle woke Silas up. Silas' room is right across the hall from the garage and he is a really light sleeper, so when Jon starts his motorcycle in the garage, it is really loud. I wasn't very happy. I didn't sleep well the night before and I had to work later. Grr! The house was trashed. My vacuum had broken again a week before, and Jon hadn't fixed it yet, so I had to sweep the whole house. The kitchen was a mess too. I think I may be the only one who knows how to use the dishwasher. So, first thing in the morning, I did a load of dishes and picked up the house. As soon as the check was processed, I paid the bills and took off. I grabbed Jon a coffee and took it to him, then got gas and went out to get some crap from the store. I came home before noon and finished up the dishes and the housework and a few loads of laundry.

I've been taking these pre-workout supplements and they give me SO much energy throughout the day. The only downside I have noticed is that I end up crashing really hard at night. I'm also really grouchy in the mornings, but that is just me. I hate mornings. haha. I perk up after I take them though.

That was my first day back at work too. It had been 3 years since I worked there, so I was a little apprehensive going into it. It was really good though. It comes right back! When I came home, Jon was watching Spartacus. I don't like that show, so he takes advantage of any time I leave to watch it. He had dinner all planned out, but he didn't have it ready because I got off an hour early. I let him make it though. He manned the house pretty well though. I was impressed.

Wednesday morning, Silas let me sleep, which was nice! But when I got up, the girls had decided to get into my sewing stuff and dropped a ton of needles. I wasn't pleased. A while later, we walked up to Maddie's school and took the necessary documents to prove she is real and whatnot. She is finally all ready for school! Yay! A bit after Jon got home, I had to leave for work. I rode on a bicycle there. A few hours later, Jon brought me a bike lock. It was hard seeing my little Silas and having to let him go home without me. But time went by pretty quick, and I was riding home before I knew it!

Thursday, Jon let me sleep in. I'm not sure he really had a choice though. I was out! I slept in until 10. After I got up, he went outside to work out. We backed the car out of the garage so Silas could walker around.  He books it across the garage. It's so cute.

I didn't do much else and had a pretty lazy day. Just went over to the Dollar Store and dropped a paper off at Maddie's school. I ordered a pizza for dinner and waited for Jon to get home.

Friday was Jon's long day at work, but that meant that I didn't have to go in. So I got up with Silas and let Jon sleep in as long as he could. I decided to splurge and get Panda Express for the girls for lunch. They forgot half my order, messed up the other half and I had to call them out on my correct change. I called, and went back. They corrected it after arguing with me, but then a few hours later, Maddie and I were sick. She and I had the same thing, but Kira had something different. Guess we should have had what she did!

Saturday, Silas woke up at 6. He wasn't going back to sleep, so I gave him a bottle. He slept until about 8:30 after that. Jon worked at 7, and I was pleased that he slept through Jon leaving. Jon has been making more of an effort to be quiet since I yelled at him last time. haha.

Sunday the kids all went to my parents' house. It was hard to let Silas go overnight for the first time. Jon and I went to Jimmy Johns and got a few Growlers to try from our Growler Station down the street. We watched a few movies and snacked. It was pretty relaxing.

July 28 - August 3

Monday, Silas woke me up at 7:30 on the dot. But it was ok, I suppose. He slept in his crib again, so I was happy. Kira woke up about an hour later, right about the time Silas fell back asleep. No more rest for this lady. Jon got up a couple hours later. We had a pretty lazy day. We had the tamales we got from the Farmer's Market for lunch. They were AMAZING! Then, Jon put together his smoker/bbq combo I bought him for his birthday. I am terrible at saving his birthday presents until his birthday. I always give them to him early. He went over to Cash n Carry and bought some ribs and some charcoal so he could use it. They were amazing! We watched a few more of a new to us show that I found and headed up to bed.

Jon setting up his new smoker/bbq
Tuesday, Silas woke up about 6. I knew Jon's alarm was going to go off at 6:30, so I took Silas upstairs with me and hoped that he would go back to sleep up there. He did, but it took him an hour and a half, and he only slept for about another hour. So we just got up. I did as much as I could in the kitchen before Jon got home. We ran over to Walmart to grab Kira's new car seat and a few other things. Jon decided he really wanted Jimmy Johns for dinner, so we went there and picked up a couple sandwiches for everyone. I got the kids all down at the same time for once, so Jon and I actually had a bit of along time. We watched a couple shows then went to bed early. Oh how the times have changed! haha.

Wednesday, Silas had me up every two hours. It was horrid. The girls decided to get up early too. Not cool. We had cereal then Silas decided to sleep for 3 hours. Thanks, baby brat! haha. Lunch time rolled around and I busted out some sweet and sour pork for the girls and I. Jon got home and he worked out. When he was done, we took a family ride. Maddie and I rode our bikes, I had Silas in his little backpack carrier. Jon had roller blades and pushed Kira in a jogging stroller. It was fun. We came home and I took a shower, then Jon bbq'd some chicken and the charcoal/smoker grill and we headed up to bed early again.

Thursday, Silas had me up all night again. In the morning, I woke up to an empty bed and the baby monitor turned off. I guess I really zonked out and Jon took care of making sure I got a little extra sleep. I came downstairs, and he even had coffee ready. He went to work, and I cleaned up the house as usual. A few weeks before, Jon and I spoke about me going back to work. He needed a few people at his place and I asked if they could use me. He got back to me that day and told me it was a go! It was nice to be able to stress a little less about bills while being able to do something I've known all my working life, so no stress about learning new procedures for either me or the employer! I made a rotisserie chicken in the crock pot and waited for Jon to get home.

Cute Little Sleepy
Friday Jon had inventory, so he went to work really early. Silas did not want to sleep, so I was up about 7. I cleaned up the house (again or still, I can't figure it out) and waited for him to come home. When he did, we ran around town like a chicken with its head cut off looking for work pants for me. We couldn't find any at any of the stores we went to. What happened to the walls of Dickies that used to be at every store? Ahh! Anyway, we came home and made some steak and watched The Neverending Story III. I wouldn't recommend it, but the girls seemed to like it. haha.

Saturday, Silas slept through the whole night, but woke up at 7 again. I came downstairs and hung out with him. Jon got up a few hours later. We went out to a couple of stores still trying to find me some work pants. I found some that will work for now until I have some money in my bank to order the ones I want online. When we got home, I took a bike ride over to work to see how long it would take me. About 15 minutes! Not bad! It's only 3 miles, but riding to work is a lot healthier than driving. Jon went to work and hung out at the house waiting for him to get home. The girls cleaned up the living room and I did the kitchen. I wasn't hungry for dinner, so I just made an apple and peanut butter for myself.

Sunday Jon got up with Silas, but I didn't get to sleep in long. Silas wasn't very happy with his Dad, so I came down a bit later. Jon played Skyrim the whole morning, then went out and did the yard. I took Silas out in his walker and he hung out with the girls on the porch. Maddie swept up the entire porch and cleaned it up. It was cool. Jon played Skyrim some more, and I rode a bike up to the store to get some stuff for dinner. Jon made a rack of ribs on the smoker, while I made baked beans and we did a joint effort of mashed potatoes. Jon also threw some onions on the smoker. Everything turned out really well! We were really tired though, so right after we ate, we went to bed.

July 21-27

Monday was payday. Well, technically Sunday was, but since the bank isn't open, we have to wait until Monday. We got up about 8 and did some shopping and other errands. We got done before noon! But then, Jon had a few projects he wanted to take care of, so we spent the majority of the day running around to other various stores to pick up some more stuff for his projects. I did finally get a car key! yay!!! I'd been having to use Jon's keys for almost two years whenever I needed the car. It was really inconvenient. Especially if he took his bike to work and the car keys with him. I'm so happy about having my own now!! haha. We ended up getting a $5 pizza for dinner because we were too tired to cook anything.

Tuesday Jon opened. He forgot his phone, but when the occasional times he does that, he calls me from on his break from work. It still makes me smile ridiculously when he calls me just to talk. I don't think that will ever go away. The girls and I did a half assed job of cleaning the house. I was exhausted, so Silas and I took a nap, while the girls watched a show. Jon got home a while later, and he prepped the smoker for the pork roast. He went to workout and he fixed up the tires on a bike I got from a friend. He called me out there and told me to ride it around. After we got it all adjusted, I rode over to Maddie's school with her to check it out. She was so happy! I came back and Kira had learned to stop on her bike while we were gone. So she got to ride with Maddie down to the corner of the street finally! Silas was in his walker in the garage and Jon cleaned out a ton of lint that was in one of the wheels preventing it from moving well, so he was flying around the garage after that. We were definitely a mobile family. haha

Wednesday wasn't anything too special. Jon worked, I cleaned, the kids played. haha. I made 4 cheese Mac n Cheese for dinner and we watched The Neverending Story II.

Thursday Jon worked out, so everyone played outside for a while. I took Kira and Maddie on a mini bike ride. We went across this little bridge by our house and back. Silas walked around in his walker. Jon had to work at 2, so after he left I made some lunch for the girls and myself. Maddie has had a booster seat for a while now, but I got it for her way to early. While it was waiting to be used, the bottom padding was lost somehow, so she always burns herself on the black plastic when she's in shorts or a skirt. Anyway, I found the exact same booster on Craigslist for $10, with all the padding! I got it for her and swapped it out. Now she is a much happier girl when it comes to going places. lol.

Friday Jon had his mid, so he was gone all day. I took the kids out to the Deer Flat Wildlife Refuge for a little nature walk. They weren't as into it as I thought they would be, so after about a mile, we loaded up and came home. I watched a few documentaries and then let Maddie and Kira take turns playing Skyrim. Jon came home and I made sauteed zucchini, carrots and onions with a potato casserole and Jon grilled up some T-bones. We settled down and watched the Expendables 3.

Saturday, we got up bright and early and went to the Karcher Outdoor Market and got some $0.25 clothes! We got Starbucks, of course, and I stupidly asked Kira to hold it for a minute while I grabbed something and she dropped it. I only had about 2 sips out of it. I was SO mad. After that, we headed over to the local Farmers Market. We got some more of that amazing BBQ sauce and jelly that tastes like it's made by the Gods themselves! haha. Jon picked up some more spices and we got some tamales. We grabbed some lunch/breakfast and ate. I got another coffee (this time holding it myself). We came home and Jon worked out before heading out to work. I made some BBQ chicken in the oven for dinner and waited for my love to get home. finally got a baby monitor, so Silas got to sleep in his crib for this first time by himself overnight.

Sunday, Silas woke me up at 3am. Then again at 6. Hopefully, it's not like that every night. I was exhausted. Jon did the yard. We went to the store for some chain and some clasps, then grabbed some hoagies for some of Jon's famous slop sandwiches. Jon watched some UFC while we ate.  He played some video game beta thing then when that was done, he played Skyrim. The girls played outside pretty much all day, so I turned on the sprinklers for them to cool them down. A while later, they were cold, so I wrangled them in and made them dinner. Jon and I still weren't hungry after the sandwiches, but they had burned off theirs by running around for hours straight. haha

July 14-20

Monday morning, Silas thought it would be fun to wake up at 5am. Great. But he went back to sleep about an hour later, until 8ish. We got up, and Jon's little brother was up already too. Jon took a shower and his sister woke up. Jon made breakfast and then I took Silas over to Jon's mom. Jon's sister grabbed some stff then we headed back. The boys were at our house working out. We got all geared up and we headed out to Jump Creek. I was SO mad because I forgot to grab my camera! Grrr!  We got there and hiked up the first steep part of the mountain. When we got to the top, we knew we weren't going to do the entire thing. We just went back down and went swimming. haha. It was a lot of fun. We headed back to Boise and ate dinner with Jon's mom and then came home. Jon's mom bought Silas a walker, Johnny Jump Up and a play pen! Thanks again for everything, Lisa! :) We were all pretty sleepy when we got back home. The girls went to bed, and Jon and I followed suit shortly after with Silas.

Walker baby!
Tuesday, Silas woke up about 6:30. I was able to get him to go back to sleep though after a bottle and some cuddles. He slept until about 9:30. It was a nice treat. We got up and Kira was already up, like usual. She was just hanging out in her room though. Silas hung out in his walker for a while, just scooting an inch here and there and chewing on the toy tray. I cleaned up the kitchen and did some laundry. Jon came home and took a nap on the couch. Silas fell asleep right after he did.

Like father like son

The girls and I made dinner. They wanted to help make the meatballs, so I let them, while I finished up the last bit of laundry. Silas outgrew his current clothes, so after dinner, I folded them and packed them up. It makes me so sad packing up all his cute little clothes and getting bigger ones. He's growing so much faster than I remember the girls growing. :(

Making meatballs

Wednesday I decided would be a lazy day. The kids and I just hung out. I played a video game (which is rare if you know me!) while Silas napped, and the monitored the girls' game of Candyland. Jon came home early! I was so happy! He worked out, and then came inside and he played a game! haha. We made a very unhealthy and yet delicious dinner of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and veggies and watch American Ninja Warrior. It was a nice relaxing day.

Thursday, Jon let me sleep in because I was up most of the night with Silas. His stomach was upset and he cried his pained cry when I put him in his bassinet, so he was with me all night. Maddie's Elsa backpack finally came. She is so excited to start school! I can't believe it's next month!

Maddie's Elsa Backpack

Friday was Jon's long day at work. Nothing too spectacular happened, well for me and the kids anyway. Maddie played some Skyrim for the first time. Jon came home and we had salmon for dinner.

Saturday, Jon had to close, but Silas didn't want us to sleep past 7am. So we had an early morning. As soon as we came downstairs, he fell back asleep though. The rest of the afternoon was pretty boring. Maddie played Skyrim and I made some dinner for the three of us. The girls wanted a pie, so I made one after dinner.

Sunday, I let Jon sleep in. When he got up, he did the yard. As soon as he was done, I took the girls to the store to get some stuff for Jon's sister. We headed out to his mom's house for her party. It was really nice. I do wish we lived closer though! His mom made some awesome pulled pork that was AMAZING. The girls had fun playing and Silas liked all of the attention. haha. All in all, it was a pretty good week.

July 7-13

Monday, Silas didn't sleep very good. He woke up a few times in the night. When he woke up in the morning about 7 am, I made him a bottle then snoozed while he ate. He ended up falling back asleep a bit after he finished it. So we got to sleep until 9. It was a treat! I did wake up with bit of a sore throat, but I wasn't sure if that was from breathing funny while I was sleeping or if I was sick. I had an appointment to go to that I kept forgetting about. I set a few alarms so I would remember to go. After the kids and I got home, I did some dishes and that was about it. Nothing too spectacular happened that day. Jon got home (he worked that day, so he could take Kira's birthday off) and threw a chicken on the smoker. I made some sauteed carrots, zucchini, onions and mushrooms, and we did a joint effort on mashed potatoes.

Tuesday, Jon usually opens, but he had a weird schedule because of one of his coworkers going camping. So I got him until 2 pm. After he left, I just did research mostly the rest of the day. It was pretty uneventful.

Wednesday, Jon took Silas so I could sleep for a bit. I got up about 10 am. It is funny how no matter if I get up at 6 am or 10 am, I am still exhausted. I don't ever think I will catch up again. Jon worked at 2 pm again, so he played video games up until he left. I cleaned up the house to get it ready for Kira's birthday the following day. I made spaghetti for dinner. I took a shower, Kira took a bath, and Maddie took a shower after that. I watched a documentary, and put Kira down for bed. Maddie finished her shower and we decorated the house for Kira's birthday. We put up a banner, blew up balloons, put a curtain of balloons on her doorway, and brought out her presents. Jon came home and we went to bed.

Thursday was Kira's birthday! Yay! My baby girl is 4!!! Silas got up at about 8. Kira was already awake, but waiting patiently in her room for all of us to wake up. She heard me and came out saying "Mommy, it's my birthday!" and jumped into my arms. She went upstairs to get her Daddy up and then came back down to wake Maddie up. She opened presents then ate some breakfast. She dressed up in her new dress and we got ready to go bowling. We let them play a couple of games and then we left. We went to Jabbers and got a day pass. They played for a few hours, then we got some lunch over at Jimmy Johns. We went back to Jabbers and they played some more. We finally left there and we came home to regroup. We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Kira was one of the birthday girls there. There was a table of older girls, probably in their 20's, right next to us and there was one with a birthday too. They were bummed because Texas stopped giving out birthday tiaras a while ago. But Kira had one on that we brought from home. Kira ate, and she got to go on the saddle and swing the napkin around. She loved it! She ate her birthday ice cream. Right when we were ready to go, I asked Kira if she thought it would be nice to give the girl at the next table her tiara because she had more at home. She said yes and handed it to her and told her Happy Birthday. I was so proud! We came home and did her cake. She ate a little but was really full. She laid down to watch a movie on the couch and fell asleep. A good birthday for a good girl!

Friday Silas let us sleep until about 9am. I think we were all tired from the day before! Jon had to work at 11, and there was a 25¢ sale at a kids' clothes store at 10, so the kids and I said bye to Jon and headed out there. We got about 35 things for about $9. I could have stayed longer and got more stuff, but it was just too hot! I grabbed a coffee for Jon and me and took it to him. We stayed for lunch. When we came home, we cleaned up a little and Maddie sat down to to some more practice homework. We've had her doing a Kindergarten workbook for the past year now, little by little, to prep her for school.
Maddie working on her practice homework
I washed all the clothes we got, and had the girls try them on. The 25¢ sale is great because it is so cheap, but then again, it's kind of a hassle because the clothes are not organized at all, so I got a few shirts for Maddie that said small, but turned out to be juniors small. Oh well! Jon came home, and we made some pork loins for dinner. Silas ate some rice cereal, but fell asleep before I could give him his potatoes.

Saturday, Jon had to open. Silas woke up at 7ish, and I tried to get him to go back to sleep, but he wasn't interested in it. Then, once we came down stairs, he fell back asleep. Little butthead. I think he just didn't want me to sleep. haha. I was ready for a lazy day because we had no plans, so I watched a couple more documentaries and lounged around as much as the kids would let me. Jon came home and told me that he wanted us to go to his co-worker's graduation or birthday party (he wasn't sure which). So, he worked out and I took a shower. We went over and there were a lot of people there, none of which we knew. It was a little weird being the only white people there. haha. But we did get authentic Mexican food and margaritas! haha. We came home and pretty much just pt the kids to bed and went to sleep.

Sunday, we got up early. I had to clean up the house a bit, again! It takes about 2 seconds for the kids to mess up a clean house. Ugh. Jon's mom and his brother came over to celebrate Kira's birthday. Maddie and I ran to a few stores, and Jon did the outside work. He was making some food and we had a really big scare. Kira knocked over the really heavy glass table. Silas was on top of it and Maddie next to it, so Silas hit his head really hard and Maddie got her stomach pretty bad when it pinned her under. But, they were ok. Jon's mom and his siblings came over for Kira's little party thing. It was nice. We ended up swapping kids with his mom that night, so she took Maddie and Kira and we kept Jon's little brother and sister overnight. Silas went to sleep early, so we got to hang out a bit with the kids. It was really fun.
