March 18 - 24

Maddie has been much better this week. I think she was getting sick of being grounded, so she really shaped up to see if she could get her sentence reduced. It worked, and she got it cut by two days. On Friday, she tore through the house cleaning like a madwoman. She was so determined in what she was doing that she was stomping everywhere. It was funny. She is always singing "Let it Go" from Frozen with her little ukulele. ALL THE TIME. EVERYDAY. It drives me bonkers, but at the same time, it's so dang adorable. She needs new clothes too, already. She can barely button her jeans! I'm so surprised at how quickly she grew! I told her I would take her to get new school clothes soon anyway, just looks like I might have to do that a bit sooner than I was planning!

Kira is a little troublemaker. She knows just what to say and do to get Maddie in trouble. But, she has one problem with that because if she knows that Maddie wasn't around, she'll try to blame the cat. It makes me laugh when she blames something ridiculous on it. She is getting more and more advanced in her speaking. The other day I was in the kitchen and she came in and says "Mommy, let me tell you this. It's important." I didn't even think she knew the word important. haha. And the things that she finds important are wonderful. I'd much rather think that the tv turning on when the light did is important than the bills and crap I have to deal with now is! Ah, to be a child!

Silas is just getting bigger and bigger. He either sleeps all day and is fussy all night, or the other way around. He wasn't feeling too hot on Thursday. He had a little stuffy nose, but he seems much better now. He still gets constipated. I had stopped giving him juice in hopes that he could go on his own, but it didn't work out like I had hoped and I ended up having to give him a suppository. I hate doing that. :( He is already outgrowing his 0-3m clothes, and he's barely over a month old! My little cow baby!

Silas gets scared and throws up his hands all the time. haha

On payday, we went out to Cash N Carry. I think I'm falling in love with that store. We got a huge hunk of meat to cut up into steaks, three racks of ribs at $2/lb and a ginormous smoked salmon. I am just so darn excited about it! I love good deals and I really love great food that are good deals! I spent a good portion of my day separating it into meals and vacuum sealing all of it so we could freeze it. Our dog, Ruger, loves Cash N Carry days, because he gets all the fat trimmings we cut off the meats.

My mother came out on Friday. She needed help getting a plane ticket to go see my grandfather. He isn't doing too well, again. He ended up having to be hospitalized and they found blood clots in his lungs as well as a mass in his prostate. But, after putting him on anticoagulants, he feels a bit better. We were going to drive down there in a few weeks, but my mom felt she needed to be there sooner, so now she's all set to go today.

Jon wanted some new pictures to be taken for his LinkedIn profile, so I took the camera and took a billion pictures of him. The faces he was doing were so funny!

Saturday, I woke up and took Maddie on a jog with me. She kept up with me quite well, and I was impressed! On the way back to the house though, she ended up tripping and falling. She only had a bit of a scratch and she was really a trooper! I was supposed to hang out with a friend that night, and I was really looking forward to it! I hadn't been able to hang out with any of my friends since I had Silas and most of the time I was pregnant, but she cancelled a few hours before. It was bummer, but it happens. So the girls and I just made a bomby dinner (T-bone for me and my [family] famous chicken for them) and waited for Jon to get home. Jon and I also had vigorous workouts earlier (aside from my jog), so by the time he got home, we were beat! Good thing he had the next two days off!

Sunday was nice. I spent the whole morning drawing my tattoo idea in various places to see where I liked it best. I have two tattoos that I am going to get, and the first one I know exactly what it is and where it's going, but I haven't designed it yet. The second one, I have ready to go, but I have to figure out where to put it! At noon, I met up with someone from Craigslist for some clothes for Maddie. They surprised me with at least twice the amount of clothes I was expecting as well as a whole other bag of shoes, all for only $5!! I was so happy! Right after that, the girls and I went to get our hair cut. I got mine cut and styled, Maddie only got about 1/2 inch taken off and Kira got her bangs "fixed" and a trim. (I think her bangs look worse now, but oh well. The lady was new.) I took Maddie to Old Navy for some flip flops because she outgrew all of her spring/summer shoes, but passed them onto Kira and they fit her perfectly. We came home, and Jon and Silas were in the backyard chopping and burning all the tree trimmings from the past two years on the side of the house. My backyard actually looks like a yard again instead of a dump! We ended the day with ribs, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. What a wonderful day!!
