Monday morning was a lazy one. Silas got up before 8, so Jon and I came downstairs and made coffee. Kira woke up pretty soon after, then finally Maddie. She sleeps in the most, and yet she's the one that gets the least amount of sleep. We made French Toast for breakfast. Jon played Titanfall all day while I did more housework. About 5ish, Maddie brought a rash to my attention. She said she's had it about a week. Great. I took her to the doctor, got it diagnosed with what I thought it was, ringworm. We went to WalMart to pick up the prescription. After walking around for 15 minutes waiting for it, they called my phone. I didn't answer it in time, so then, instead of leaving a message, they call our name over the loud speaker. Embarrassing! Turns out they were out of the prescription. I tried to see if they would send it to a different pharmacy, but they wouldn't. I called the doctor to see if she could send it somewhere else...nope. So I had to leave with no treatment for it, and without them knowing when they would get anymore in with just a promise of a phone call. Yeah, because a waiting around for a phone call is going to heal my daughter. Ugh. Anyway, the girls went to bed and Jon and I stayed up to try to see the blood moon. We saw the moon half covered, but that's as far as we got because it was too cloudy for us to see the actual blood moon. Plus Jon had to work at 7 in the morning. There's going to be 3 more this year anyway.
Tuesday wasn't anything spectacular. Just housework and attempting to work out. While we were in the garage working out, our old neighbor stopped by with his son and the kids played for about an hour while we all talked. It was almost 9 when they left, so we just called it good and went inside to cook dinner. I had chicken thawed out, so we made bacon wrapped stuffed teriyaki chicken.
Wednesday Jon had inventory, so he had to be at work by 6. I surprised him with a front tire for his motorcycle though, so I think it made his day a smidge better. His tires are almost completely bald, and as much as I want him to get rid of his bike, I can't force him to, and I'd rather he have new tires to make him that much safer on it. Tires are expensive though, so I've got to get them one at a time. He needs a battery and probably a tune up anyway. haha.
That night I decided to try a honey cinnamon mask for my hair. I've been hearing amazing reviews on it, so why not? The mix smelt amazing! I was excited to have my hair smell like it. I rinsed it out after only 4 hours because I was nervous. It lightened it bit. I think that I will leave it in overnight next time, just to see how much more lightened it can be. I love the way it made it feel though too! So soft!

Thursday I had an appointment to go to, so we all piled in the car. Jon likes to come with me wherever I have to go so I don't get bored. It's really sweet of him. We got Starbucks ahead of time, which is always a must have for anything early morning...or mid afternoon for that matter. lol. We get the girls a hot chocolate half the time, and the other half we get them these little cake pops they have. Once we came home, Jon and I worked out while the girls cleaned their room. He made a pizza for lunch and I had a salad. Jon had to go to work, so while he left I super-cleaned the house. I made the girls burritos for dinner and I had a lean cuisine. I put the girls to bed an hour early with the promise of letting them watch TV for an hour. The secret is that I know they will fall asleep after 15 minutes, so it makes it seem like it's a fun thing for them when it's really good for them, and a break for me. haha. After they went to bed, I busted out the candy and eggs to fill them before Easter.

Eggs to hide! |

Silas gets an Easter bunny too, even if he won't remember. lol |
Friday we got packages from Jon's dad and stepmom for the kids' Easter. They were excited about it, but I hid them away until Easter. Two days wasn't going to make or break them. haha. The girls did their laundry and picked up their room. I don't know about you who have children, but omg, those girls will NOT keep their room clean for more than a day. It's insane. I don't remember ever being that messy as a kid! Man! Jon got home after his loooong day at work. We made smoked salmon, pilaf and veggies for dinner, then caught up on some Arrow and S.H.I.E.L.D.
Saturday is Jon's Friday, so naturally he woke up sick. We were going to take the girls to a community Easter egg hunt at a nearby high school, but I didn't want to drag him out when he was feeling bad, especially when he had to work late that night. I hadn't told the girls about it, so it wasn't a letdown for them. I've began not telling them about fun things until the day of, just in case. They've been letdown by so many people making them promises lately, and I'm not going to be one of them. After Jon drudged off to work, the girls and I did makeovers. Well, they got makeovers, while I tried out my new hair product. I hate it when moms makeup on their little girls, but mine love it so much that once in a great while, I'll put some on them if we are not leaving the house. They dress up in princess dresses and pretend they are going to a ball. It's cute, but at the same time, I don't like seeing them in makeup.

Maddie's Princess Makeover |
Sunday was Easter. I had slept in Silas' room the night before so Si and I could avoid Jon's sickness. Silas woke up at 7:50am and decided he was done sleeping. Unfortunately, I took too long going to the bathroom and he got mad and started crying so the girls woke up. They ate some cereal while we waited for Jon to wake up. The girls were getting anxious, so I gave them their little Easter bags from their Grandma and Grandpa to tide them over. Silas got a cute little duck in his! Jon's mom invited us over for that afternoon, but when Jon woke up, I knew that wasn't going to happen. He wasn't much better. We gave the girls their baskets and Silas his bunny.

Easter baskets and a sick Daddy |
After a while, we let them go out for their egg hunt. We hid them all over the yard and around the outside of the house. Kira tripped and spilled all of the eggs out of her basket. Maddie ran over, and we thought she was going to steal them. Right before we yelled at her, she knelt down next to Kira and helped her pick them up. It was sweet.

Egg hunt! |
The rest of the day was pretty bland. We took a check to the night drop and swung by Jack in the Box. For Jon being as sick as he was, he sure didn't lose his appetite. We went home and the girls re-hid their eggs for each other and Jon played Assassins Creed while Silas and I hung out on the couch reading. I'm really into this show called Resurrection, and I knew it was based around a book called The Returned, so I got it with a free Amazon credit on my Kindle. I am something of a speed reader, so it only took me about two hours to read it. I was a bit bored after that because Jon was still playing his game and Silas was sleeping, so I just cleaned up the house. We had chicken, baked potatoes and veggies for Easter dinner. It was a nice ending to the day.
