April 8-14

Monday we went shopping again. I love/hate shopping. It's nice to get out of the house, but I hate dealing with people. haha. We got some Easter baskets for the girls this time around. We always lie to them about it though because no matter how we try to hide them, they end up seeing them. This time, we told them it was for Jon's work. I know they will catch on soon though. lol. Jon and I worked out and then he made some ribs, again. We really like our ribs. haha. The girls got to play outside and Silas loved watching them through the sliding glass door. It was a pretty good day.

Tuesday we had an appointment to donate plasma. Unfortunately when I got there, they informed me that I couldn't donate until I was 6 months postpartum. Jon was denied as well, because his tattoo was too close to the vein and they have a two arm requirement. So that was a waste of time. I don't think they'd let me anyway, because the needle is huge and my veins are so tiny! They more than likely wouldn't be thrilled with them. We ended the day with Jon playing Ryse and me making smoked salmon and pilaf for dinner, with the girls' help.

Wednesday was a usual day. The girls and I cleaned up the house and I did more detailing. Kira tore her screen really good when she had Silas' room, so I duct taped it. Now he can enjoy the nice days too! I surprised Jon by getting him Titanfall, so he played that pretty much all evening from the moment he got home from work. lol. I let the girls play outside for a bit. Ruger has been so lonely since Karmel died that he refuses to let Maddie out of his sight for a second! He loves her so much.

Thursday was Silas' 2 month doctor appointment. He had to get shots 3 plus the one in his mouth. :( Poor guy did not like them, but who a I kidding? I don't even like them! The last shot I got I cringed at. Take pints of blood from me, it's no problem. Give me a shot and I turn into a child. haha. He was over the 50th percentile in all of his areas, so that's cool. He's 13.37lbs now and he grew 1.75 inches. Big little dude! About six hours after his shots, he was inconsolable. I felt so bad. The doctor gave me a handy little chart for Tylenol dosages, and it actually included his age! They never have anything under 2 years! I am pretty happy. After some Tylenol, he was a little better.

2 months old!

After Silas' doctor appointment, we went to Lowes. Jon finally got to use the gift card I got him for Christmas. Every spring we have to replace sprinklers. We went to Albertsons afterward so I could get some milk and whatnot for the kids. Down the cereal isle, we saw some Rice Krispies and on a whim decided to get some for the kids, along with marshmallows of course!

Friday, Silas was definitely better from his shots. The night before was ridiculous. He was up nearly every hour crying. Even the Tylenol has its limits, I guess. Jon took him at about 8 and let me get a couple extra hours of sleep. It was nice of him. He had to work at 11, so I slept until about 10. Silas was better most of the day. His leg was swollen though, so I had to be careful not to touch it like I usually do. We didn't do anything too fun. I mostly just cleaned. The house gets so messy every day! Who knew two little girls could demolish an entire house so quickly?! Jon missed out on the last time I made maple syrup pork chops, so I made them again for him.

Saturday, Jon and I made breakfast for us and the girls. Even though he has to work, it's still a tradition we try to do on the weekends. We make eggs, potatoes, bacon and toast, and all of us always end up fighting over the bacon; it's great. haha. Jon and I worked out after that up until about ten minutes before he had to go to work and had me take pics of his progress.

After Jon left, the girls decided they wanted a crazy hair day. Kira brought out 4 hair ties and Maddie brought out 7. So they got 4 and 7 pony tails. They then ran throughout the house and out in the back yard playing monsters.

Kira's monster face

Maddie's "cute monster" face. She rolls her lip up and smiles...it's weird. lol

I didn't know what to make for dinner that night, as usual. I gave the girls their Banquets, but it doesn't even fill them up, so I just made burritos afterward. After dinner, Silas took a nap so Maddie and I busted out some Just Dance 2014. We danced with 58 other people at the same time and came in first, so I'd say we're pretty good. lol

Sunday was Jon's day off, finally! The weeks seem to drag on and on! You'd think they'd fly by with how busy we are, but they really don't. Silas woke up right before 8. He hates sleeping upstairs in the mornings for some reason, so we came downstairs, and he passed out in his bouncer. It's annoying. I don't get why he can't just sleep upstairs, but whatever. Picky baby. lol. I made bacon pancake dippers for breakfast that morning. It's pancakes with bacon in the middle, or bacon with pancake around it. haha. Jon and the girls went nuts over it. It was fun!

Jon did the yardwork and I did some housework. Maddie made the spaghetti noodles for dinner. We ended the night (and the week) with a Blizzard treat from Dairy Queen and snuggling up to watch a few of our shows.
