April 28- May 4

Monday, Silas decided to get up at 6. I was really hoping Jon would take him and let me get some sleep, but he didn't, so we just went downstairs. I was really grouchy most of the day due to the lack of sleep. Jon played Assassins while I cleaned off the back patio. We took some cans to a recycling center. Jon took the rotors off the car to see if they are what is causing the squeaking. Silas' eye was all weepy and had goop in it. It was sad. He was miserable. The girls played outside for most of the day, drawing with chalk and running around. I found a great deal on Craigslist for 3-6m clothes, but they didn't reply after they asked me when I could come get them. I guess any time that worked for them wasn't good enough. ha. We went to Olive Garden for dinner. It was nice.

Tuesday I didn't even know that Jon left for work. Silas kept me up all night, except for that one hour where Jon left. I felt bad not giving him a kiss goodbye, but I was thankful for that hour. The people FINALLY got back to me about the clothes. Jon and I worked out. I didn't want to, but he pushed me. Good job, Jon! haha. The girls played outside while we worked out, and they got their first ice cream of the season from the ice cream truck! We had a dinner of steak, baked potatoes and mixed veggies and caught up on some Blacklist, Supernatural, and Mentalist.

Silas' new clothes

Wednesday, Silas woke up at seven. He had some eye gunk again. I think it might  be a blacked tear duct. I made him a bottle, only to realize I was completely out of formula after it. Jon ran to the store for some more and some rice cereal as well. We made some breakfast and then he was off to work. The girls and I cleaned up the house. Silas was just inconsolable all day. It drove me nuts!! It turned out becoming what will be known from here on out as the day from hell. Silas was screaming uncontrollably for about 7 hours straight. He was exhausted, but he wouldn't sleep for more than 20 minutes at a time without waking up and screaming again. Turns out he was not ready for the rice cereal. He was in such agony. I felt so bad. He has a bit more of a sensitive tummy than the girls, but I didn't think the rice would affect him that way! So, I put the rice away and decided we'll try that again when he gets a little older. About 10pm, I put him in his carseat. He thought we were going in the car and it worked like a charm. He closed his eyes almost instantly. I had to wake him to change him and get him ready for bed. He wasn't happy about that. But after a little more bottle, he drifted right to sleep and slept until 4, then again until 8.

Thursday, Silas woke fussy again. I was worried, but after I fed him, he was back to his old, happy self again. About 4 in the morning, I realized that the formula Jon got me the day before wasn't going to last until he got home from work, so I asked Jon what he wanted me to do. He said he'd get some before inventory. He got up at 5:30 and went to WalMart. It was sweet. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. After Jon got back from work, he had an appointment over the phone. It was supposed to be at 4, but we didn't realize that there was a time change from the place they were calling. So, it really was like 5:30pm when they called. It wasn't that big of a deal, but I had to go to the store to get a little stockpile of formula, and I hate 5 o'clock rush hour traffic, plus it was the 1st of the month, so there's always more people. I took Maddie with me to the store and left the other two with Jon. I found some Filet Mignons at a reasonable price while I was at the store. I love good finds like that. We came home down a street with a ton of construction, so that was inconvenient. But, it only delayed us by 15 minutes. We made dinner and called it a night.

Friday, Silas didn't want me to sleep in after Jon left for work. We got up a little before 8. Jon worked in the morning, but was off work at 3:30pm. When he got off work, he mentioned that his brother was out here and had texted him. I told him he should tell them to come over. They ended up doing just that. We visited for a while and I asked my sister in law if they wanted to stay for dinner. She ran it by Jon's brother and they ended up staying. There was some commotion outside and we went out to investigate. I guess one of the neighbors called the cops on another. It's all kinds of high school type drama in this neighborhood. Other than that, it was a nice time.

Saturday, we woke up about 8 again. Silas watched one of his learning videos while I made coffee. Jon came down soon after.

Watching his video. He loves it

I had to go to the store for some pineapple for dinner. I did that and took Kira with me while Maddie and Jon stayed home with Silas, playing AC4. I brought Jon some Jack in the Box for lunch. I didn't really want anything from there, bu I was hungry, so I got a teriyaki chicken rice bowl. Seemed better than a greasy burger. Jon left for work at 2. I had just put Silas down for a nap in his crib, so dealing with just the older two was a nice break. A few hours later, I got to take a nap. It was a nice change! The neighbors decided to blast country from their car, so that was not the best wake up call. I just made some Sweet n Sour Chicken for dinner instead of getting all pissy at them like I wanted to. I have a feeling we're going to have a problem with them. I really wanted Starbucks after dinner, but without the car I didn't want to take the chance of getting rained on. The clouds didn't look too angry, but a baby in the rain means no one is happy. One of my biggest wishes is that Starbucks will deliver. The day that happens, my life just might be complete. haha. By 9pm, I was feeling like shit. My throat was sore and my head was all stuffed up. I couldn't even really think. Even my jaws hurt! It came from nowhere and hit me HARD!

Sunday Silas was up at 7am. Jon took him downstairs so I could get some rest and hopefully recover quickly from my sickness. I woke up again about 10. I wasn't better. Jon was suffering from an ingrown toenail. He gets them so often. I feel so bad. He can hardly walk when they get bad. Last time he had one, he had to go to the doctor and get it removed. Poor guy. He ended up making it tolerable in a way that I won't go into detail about...it's gross. Anyway, he did the yardwork while I rested with Silas. He had a coworker's birthday party to go to, so he took the girls and I still rested with Silas. When he got home, he wouldn't rest until he figured out something that I wanted to eat. Nothing sounded good, but he wouldn't let up. He finally decided to make me a Orange Julius and rent to the store what he needed. Once he got home, he realized he grabbed the wrong stuff. He felt so bad that he went back. We ended the night by watching Shawshank Redemption since we'd never seen it.
