Monday, Jon had inventory. Even though he had the day "off" he still had to go in at 5am for inventory. :( He got home earlier than I expected and took Silas so I could get some sleep. It was SO nice! Silas had a doctor's appointment
that day too. He weighs 17lbs! He's a cow! The doctor was visibly impressed at how quickly he is advancing. He had to get shots. I hate that so much. Luckily, Jon has held him every time. I did my time with the first two...it's Jon's turn now! lol
We worked came home and made some lunch before we worked out. Then I looked up trails to hike, and we went on a little hike up Jump Creek to a hidden water fall. Getting there was really weird. It was a lot of back roads and there were some creepy tractor tires that had things like "No no no" written on them and stuff. It made me hold the gun a little closer. haha. When we got there though, the girls loved it and Silas was adorable in his little back pack carrier. It was about 1/4 of a mile hike, and the trail was really easy for the girls. We did have to cross a creek, but it was so fun. Jon and I wanted to keep going up a couple harder paths, but with the kids it wouldn't be as fun as just with us. There was A LOT of poison ivy though, so we had to dodge that.

Tuesday Silas was really not feeling well because of his shots the day prior. Then, Jon texted me saying he didn't feel great. Then Kira threw up. It was not a great day.
Wednesday Silas let me sleep until about 8, but then he just played in the bed while I drifted in and out. Around 9, I heard some rustling around, so I came down stairs. Kira was calling me, but she came out with her bowl. She got sick again. I was hoping she'd feel better. Jon said he felt a bit better when he got home from work. He really wanted to try chicken and waffles made from scratch and had been asking me to make it. I really didn't want to because it is SO unhealthy. But, I gave in, finally. We had triple dipped fried chicken and waffles for dinner. It was really good, but really bad, you know? lol. Kira perked up a bit so I gave her half a waffle. She held it down! I was so happy. I burned a rather embarrassing and very sensitive part of myself while making the waffles, so I put the girls to bed, poured some wine, babied myself for the rest of the night.

Sunday we woke up early and did the yard. After the yard was done we took a nice hike through the mountains around Jump Creek again. It was about 2 miles and mostly uphill. We even had to do some rock climbing! The girls did really well!
After we got done with the hike, we headed back home to get ready for the barbecue. I took a shower, and Jon set up a mister for the patio. Jon's buddies got there and we all hung out and had fun.
