May 26 - June 1

Silas woke me up Monday at 7:30 am. Not too bad, considering I fell asleep the night before at 9pm and he only woke up once at night. We had a pretty nice day. We had Subway for lunch. I went out for a run and came back to work out with Jon. The girls played in the sprinklers. I went to the store for some dinner. We Skyped with Jon's dad and step mom. It was really nice. The girls loved it! Although, Kira ended up falling asleep on the couch. haha. She didn't wake up at all the night. I wanted pot roast, but I wanted it even better than it usually is (which is bomb in itself!). I made the veggies in the crock pot with the sauce I made while Jon threw the meat on the smoker along with a couple smoked Portobello mushrooms and smoked onions. Dinner turned out AMAZING! While I was at the store, I got a strawberry cake for dessert, but we were so tired after dinner that we just went to bed.

Watching PBS together waiting for dinner

Tuesday morning wasn't anything too crazy. Jon worked early, and Silas woke up about the time he left. It's nice to see Jon off in the mornings now though. Kira got up right after we came downstairs. She is usually an early riser anyway, but because she fell asleep so early the night before, she was extra bright eyed. She and Silas watched Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. It's the new Mr. Roger's.

They both love Daniel Tiger
I ended up falling asleep in the late morning. I hate being so tired that I fall asleep. I woke up to a blanket over me and two girls playing Candyland quietly in the room. I was so proud! I went to the store for a few things once Jon got home. Right when we got home, I realized we forgot some stuff. So I went back again. We watched UFC fights when we got home then had salmon for dinner with rice krispy treats for dessert.

Wednesday morning Silas let me sleep until 8am, so that was nice! Kira was already awake when I came down. She annoyingly badgers me for food the second she sees me in the morning. It's really irritating. She usually falls asleep on the couch before dinner and I can only sometimes wake her up for dinner, so she is really hungry in the morning. But it frustrates me that she never stays awake for dinner! It's a constant fight just to get her to eat during the day too. She's a brat when it comes to food. I stopped buying her the "good" cereals and poptarts and stuff so she has to eat healthy cereal in the morning. We spent the rest of the day cleaning up the house while Silas too a really long nap. I made a few cute things for Silas' room too!

Superheros to watch over his room
And a warning to all those who enter!

Thursday morning, Maddie had another appointment with the orthopedic. She did really well and went back get the xrays all by herself. I took the kids to Starbucks afterward for Italian Sodas and a coffee for me and Jon. Since Jon was at work, I took his coffee over to him. The girls ate lunch at his work and then we went over to the dollar store. I got a few things for Jon's anniversary present and his father's day present since they are back to back in June. We got cards for him and one for my niece, Celeste, who is graduating this year! (I'm a proud aunt! lol) I got some stuff from Target online when I got home and got a package for Jon in the mail. When we got home, the kids and I hung out in the garage while he worked out (I hurt myself again so I'm on a minor break from working out). We got Texas Roadhouse takeout for dinner. They forgot half our order though. Oh well!

Friday  Jon let me sleep in. It was nice, except I had horrid nightmares. I've always had really violent, terrifying nightmares plaguing me. They have slowed down, so I don't have them every night now, but about once or twice a week. Anyway, when I got up, Jon got coffee and donuts for us. It was a really nice treat! He had to work right after unfortunately, but he got to enjoy some before he left. Maddie woke up sick. When it's a sick day, it's a movie day! We all hang out and watch movies together so that way it's not unfair for one kid to be left out of other activities because they are sick. It seems to work for us. I tried out some homemade stain remover on one of Silas' onesies and a pair of Jon's shorts. It worked better than I expected! Yay! The rest of the day wasn't anything too crazy. Just watching movies and making dinner when Jon got home.

Saturday was a very long day indeed. Silas was inconsolable all day. I don't know if it was constipation or from his teeth or both, but it was horrid. I had to go buy Maddie some shoes to match her dress for the wedding because she didn't have any dress up shoes whatsoever. I came home and Jon and I worked out, then I ran a little over a mile. He went to work and I dealt with crabby pants all day. The girls got all showered and smelling good for the following day and I did some more dealing with crabby pants.

Smiling at Grandma!

Sunday we had a wedding to go to. It was one of Jon's good friends. The girls looked adorable in their dresses and Silas was a proper young man in his suit. Jon didn't look too bad either! The wedding was nice. They had a open bar with mimosas with little hors d'oeuvres as snacks while they set up for the reception then had brunch items.  I went to school with the bride's brother, so it was nice seeing him again. It was a really sweet wedding. Congrats again!

All dressed up for the wedding!
After the wedding, we went over to Jon's mom's house. It was a nice visit. The girls LOVE going over there. We came home and Jon did the yard while the girls played on their slip and slide. We ended the day (and the week!) with some filet mignon for dinner.
